2013 / Production by Enrique Melgarejo

This work is dedicated to all of us who take the subway and the pesero to get home. To that chaotic mass of Mexico City residents, eager to get home and rest. It's dedicated to all of us who make a habit of that frenetic pace, and take minibus naps, lulled by long commutes on public transportation. Unless, of course, we have to give up our seat to some lady.
In these 6,000 square kilometers, we're crammed with more than 21 million people, and we're all looking for ways to claim a little piece of the metropolis to exist, all at once, sometimes on top of each other.
This work is dedicated to all of us who toss and turn at night trying to sleep. Trying to shake off the heaviness of the day. It's dedicated to those who scream into their pillows and do their best not to take out their frustrations on their neighbors. But the city doesn't make it easy for us. This city captivates us. We all chase it through the streets, and at the same time, we flee from it.
Multimedia and dance combine in this daring and irreverent production that presents a collage of images of the city and the night. We see the characters construct a universe between wakefulness and reverie, through which they reveal glimpses of everyday life in Mexico City.
